Children obesity is one of the leading global concerns. Many researchers established that the increase of the obesity rates is influenced by the unhealthy food advertisements that are high in sugar, fats, and salts. In this report, policies and guidelines regarding food advertising to children and food TV commercials from countries Finland, Denmark, and Norway were critiqued and compared to Canada. 2 out of 4 countries have regulations and 3 out of 4 countries have established advertisement guidelines. It was observed that the country that has established both advertising guidelines and policy has a lowest obesity rate.

Our cells are composed of lipid bilayer. At a micro level, lipid bilayer acts as a first line of defense against viruses or bacteria. My research paper examines how different types of lipids in our cells modify themselves to permit entry of certain viruses; thereby, infecting us. By knowing the mechanisms of lipid modifications, novel therapeutic drugs or vaccines can be developed by interrupting or inhibiting lipid modifications.
